Especially once you’ve extended your meter to the point where you can fly for long periods of time. Cole’s new power is the ability to fly around as an invulnerable pack of rodents, and while that doesn’t sound like much, it’s actually a hugely enjoyable way to get around New Marais in a hurry and access.

(Not that it really matters, since the entire adventure is a story made up by sidekick Zeke to impress a girl at a bar.) For the sake of “the greater good,” Cole is free to chomp his way through as many denizens of New Marais as he likes, with each drained victim refilling his new “corruption meter.” Said meter is vital for doing things like turning into a swarm of bats and… well, that’s it, really. Wondering where InFamous’ signature moral choices fit into all this? They don’t.

As the streets fill with costumed (and kinda filthy-looking) revelers, Cole has to put down packs of vampires (who have to be staked through the heart before they’ll stay dead), come to terms with his new blood-fueled powers and either figure out how to destroy the vampire who made him by sunrise, or be her bloodsucking slave for eternity. If you are looking for a fun, relaxing, non-competitive game then this is definitely for you.InFamous: Festival of Blood sees electrically charged hero Cole MacGrath bitten by an old, powerful vampire during Pyre Night, a creepy festival that transforms a huge chunk of New Marais into one big, fire-lit party. Nothing is difficult or missable and everything can be done in under 10 hours. They pretty much come down to: play some user created challenges, finish the campaign, find all collectibles, unlock all powers and bite a few people. The trophies are very basic for this game. That is the only reason I rated this game less than 5 stars. Unfortunately the game is pretty short, the entire game can be completed within a few hours and, apart from playing user created challenges, there is nothing left for you to do after you earn all the trophies. Cole's powers are fun to use - whether you're flying across the city as a colony of bats or using your vampire sense to find first borns disguised as humans. The controls are very well done, easy to remember and responsive. This may sound repetitive but it doesn't feel that way when playing the game. There are a good few collectibles, however you can use your radar to find them easily. There are four main things for you to do: fight groups of vampires, find canopic blood (to unlock new powers), find hidden first born vampires, and play through the campaign. The music is energetic and very fitting for this game.Īt the time of writing this review I have not played any of the other inFAMOUS games so I can't compare this to them. The music in this game is also fantastic. No sound drowns out another, nothing is muffled, everything is clear and audible. You can hear everything around you from Cole's footsteps to the cheers of the civilians partying on the streets, yet none of it seems like just too much noise. The graphics in this game are fantastic! Clean, crisp and detailed yet there is no framerate drops that a lot of decent looking games suffer from. To prevent yourself fully turning and becoming her mindless slave you must kill her with some help from your friend Zeke. You play as Cole McGrath, you get bitten by a vampire named Bloody Mary. However, once I started playing this game I just couldn't stop! I loved every thing about it: the music, sound effects, graphics, gameplay, abilities. I am a huge fan of vampires, so I am usually left very disappointed by games about them. I was very sceptical about this game when I first sat down to play it.
